Business Visa
Understanding the specific visa application requirements is essential for professionals planning to travel to France on business. Please be advised that all applicants must attend the French Visa Application Centre (TLS Contact) in person for their biometric details to be recorded, except for those who have had a biometric Schengen visa issued in the last 3 years.

FRENCH BUSINESS VISA REQUIREMENTS
- 🔹 Passport, valid for at least 3 months beyond the dates of travel
- 🔹 Old passport with previous Schengen visas, if any
- 🔹 UK residence card, valid for at least 1 month beyond the dates of travel
- 🔹 1 Visa application form completed online.

- 🔹 2 passport photographs
- 🔹 Letter of invitation from a company in France
- 🔹 Original bank statements for the past 3 months
- 🔹 Recent UK business letter confirming employment and purpose of travel to France
- 🔹 Payslips for the past 3 months
- 🔹 Tickets to France. If travelling by car, please include ferry or Eurotunnel tickets, a car log book, and car insurance.
- 🔹 Hotel reservation
- 🔹 Travel insurance valid for all Schengen countries
SUPPORTING INFORMATION
Passports eligible for a French visa must have 2 spare blank visa pages and cannot be over ten years old.
Photographs must be recent (taken within the past 1 month), not previously used on any other visas in the passport, and presented on a plain white background – scanned photos will not be accepted.
In your photographs, you must:
- 🔹 be facing forward and looking straight at the camera
- 🔹 be wearing dark-coloured clothing
- 🔹 have a clear forehead with no hair covering the forehead
- 🔹 have a plain expression and your mouth closed
- 🔹 have your eyes open and visible
- 🔹 have your hair tied
- 🔹 have your ears visible
- 🔹 have hair not touching the eyebrows
- 🔹 not have hair in front of your eyes
- 🔹 not have a head covering (unless it’s for religious or medical reasons)
- 🔹 not have anything covering your face
- 🔹 not have any shadows on your face or behind you
- 🔹 not be wearing glasses
- 🔹 not be wearing jewellery
The bank’s current account statement should be recent and issued during the month prior to the application. It must show a minimum credit balance (not overdraft) of £55.00 per day of stay.
The travel insurance policy MUST be valid for all Schengen countries and cover the full period of the visa applied for, as well as any hospital/medical/repatriation costs that may be incurred. The minimum cover must be at least 30,000 Euros.
The tickets must show that the visa applicant will enter France within 90 days from the application submission date. The original booking confirmation, if accompanied by proof of payment in full, will be accepted as an alternative to tickets.
