An introduction letter is usually required for business visa applications. The company must write the letter on official headed paper and address it to the relevant embassy or consulate. If the company will assume financial responsibility for the applicant, mentioning this is a good idea. Here is an example of such a letter (link).

Schengen Visa FAQs
A Schengen visa allows for stays up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
You may only submit your visa application in 6 months before your scheduled date of arrival in Schengen area
Applicable to France and German Schengen visas only: Biometric data already collected for a Schengen visa are valid for 3 years from the date the biometric data capture was done. Suppose you have already provided your biometric data for a previous successful Schengen visa application with any Schengen country. In that case, you do not need to come in person to submit them again if you apply for a new France or German Schengen visa. You will only have to provide the visa sticker number and photocopy of the visa as proof during the new visa application procedure. The VIS is a common database for all Schengen countries. After 3 years elapse, you have to provide fingerprint scans again. This exemption does not apply to long-stay visa applicants.
Yes, a Schengen visa allows you to travel freely within the Schengen Zone for the time that the visa is valid for. When visiting several countries, the Schengen Member State that issues the visa, is the territory that constitutes the main destination of your journey in terms of duration. If the main destination can not be determined (for example, you intend to stay in each country for the same number of days), the issuing Member State is the one you intend to enter first.
